Tell us which hall, and who has the keys
One of us reads every message. If you are writing about a date, four lines is plenty to start with.
Write to the company
Answered within a week, and within a day if there is a date in it. During a tour the reply comes late at night, because that is when the van stops.
For a booking: the name of the hall, the width of the room, whether there are stairs, and how many people came to the last thing you put on. For anything else, just say it plainly. Nobody here has a press office.

Stannerbridge Baths, Pool Street
The old swimming baths on Pool Street, the brick building with the glass roof and the tiled sign over the door. We are in the pool hall, which still has the depth markings on the wall. It is where we make the work and where we play four or five nights a year; every other performance is in somebody else's hall, an hour or three hours away. Check the tour dates before you set out, because the room is often empty and the van is often not here.

Things people ask on the telephone
Can we visit the Baths?
On our own performance nights, yes. Otherwise it is a working rehearsal room with a bad roof and there is nothing to see.
How far will you travel?
Anywhere we can reach in a day and get home from, or anywhere at all if there are three dates near each other. Tell us where you are and we will be honest about it.
How much notice do you need?
Six months for a date on a tour, and about three weeks for a one-off if the van is already passing.
Can you come to a school?
Yes, and the workshop is free with a booked performance. On its own it has a fee of 00, which is the day it costs us.
Are you on the telephone?
There is one number and it is answered by whoever is nearest to it. Between two and eleven at night on a show day, nobody is.
